Experiences with CorelDraw X4 and DSP CO2 controller card

Post by fabyss »

In the manual of the DSP CO2 controller card there is reference only for CorelDraw 11 and 12, but it will work with newer versions of CDr as well. I've managed to have the toolbar displayed in CDr 14, with a little tweak.
First, after selecting Tools/Options, you'll have to navigate to Workspace/Customization/Command bars. The option you must select is Macros, instead of Visual Basic, which is written in the manual (looks like they've just changed the name of this option in later versions). Then close CDr X4 and install the Coreldraw_Laser plugin by running TZSetup.exe. Select CorelDraw_Laser and English, then click Install. After this restart CDr X4.
The new toolbar will not pop-up like it is written in the manual. Instead, you have to select Tools/Options again, and navigate to Workspace/Customization/Commands (not .../Command Bars!), and select the Macros toolbar from the dropdown menu on the top. There will be some strange grey icons, named Laser.UserInit, etc. Drag-drop this command to any open toolbar, then click on it. This will pop-up the LaserUsing toolbar, with the 3 commands needed to operate the control card, and this toolbar will remain on afterwards.
