AWC608 Update issue

Hello all,
I am trying to update my AWC608 DSP but I am getting an error on the display after selecting the upgrade file. There is no error code, just says error and waits for mw to esc out of the screen. My DSP'current firmware is - main board = 7.14.07.08 and LCD board is 5.13.09.15. I am trying to upgrade from file 160226L1.UG5 and trying to get the latest LaserCad running. I have LaserCad installed, just need to get DSP up to date.
My engraver has been down for a about a year or so, so I am guessing I may have missed some updates. Are the updates incremental?
I tried formatting memory which completed with no errors. Tried running the memory test which completed with no errors. Formatted the USB stick and put file back on. Any tips or ideas I can try?

Called in to see if anyone could help. I was told to re-download the software and try gain. No luck, still get 'Upgrade error' on the LCD display.

Has anyone else run across this?

The patch you downloaded was not for the AWC608 but X7. Where did you get it from?

It is the latest and the last. No other update available after September, 2015

Marco, thank you for the reply. I got the file from the downloads area of this forum. The link said it was for the 608 controller. I looked at the link you posted and the note about not needing the patch for RF lasers. Since I am running a CO2 laser, will my firmware, main board-7.14.07.08 and LCD board 5.13.09.15 work with LaserCad 7.86?

It is OK to use. It specifically fixed an issue with a RF laser tube and a few other minor things

i'm having the same error when trying to upload the software. i grabed it from the link you provided.

Says "upgrade error"

running AWC608
main board 6.13.06.22
Lcd Board 5.11.10.30

Your firmware is up to date. no need to upgrade
Plus, there is no more updates firmware for AWC608
