3MM Baltic Birch Ply
Hi,
Would I be able to cleanly cut 3MM Baltic Birch plywood with this machine?

Yes you can. Possible at 8mm/s if I am not forgotten

Hi Marco,
I have this machine setup now. Could you please recommend some settings (power/speed) for cutting 3mm acrylic with this machine?

Try 6mm/s on each corner see if it cut through. If it does, then try 7mm until if can't cut through then tuned 1mm/s less to ensure that it cut through everything on your project
Remember that the sample must at least 25mm long rectangular but not small circles like because it take time to speed up. Small objects doesn't provide a traveling path long enough to reach the top speed

Re: 3MM Baltic Birch Ply
It seems I've run into a problem. When I click the "download document" button to send the document to the machine, I get the error "communicating unsuccessful".
What confuses me is that the machine communicates with lasercad just fine. Everything else works. I just can't send the job to the machine.

1. Install USB driver from LaserCAD.exe setup
2. Establish communication between controller and computer via USB cable.
Open laserCAD-> Select mode(located on the right upper corner) -> make sure USB mode is selected-> Add-> find com. If everything work smoothly. You now should be able to download file to controller.

Thanks. I've done all of that though. LaserCad communicates with the machine just fine. It's just the one feature (download document) that does not work. I've been able to read the settings from the machine, view the documents on the machine, etc. I just get the error when I try to send a document to the machine.

Strange!
We tested it before shipped
Could you download a simple file like a square box?
Check the memory of the card and remove all files then try again
If it doesn't work, check connection of wires in the controller because it may got lose during transportation

I just had the exact same issue, and was stumped. We finally tried reinstalling lasercad and the problem went away (weird to say least)
