Z table um settings

I am running a k40 with the x7 dsp, ztable, and raycam 1.2 I am using the 4a stepper driver from cohesion because I was running a cohesion board when I bought my z table. when I jog my z table it moves alot less then I tell it to. to cycle the full 70mm I am required to power cycle my laser several times. How do I figure out the um setting that will give me full range of motion without power cycling?
