Low power with a new lightobject laser tube

Post by Cbybee »

I recently purchased a new 35w laser tube and got it installed. After aligning the mirrors I found that my laser now has a much lower power than the original tube. I am using a Cohesion3d Mini controller board and Lightburn software. Any ideas? In order to cut 3mm birch plywood I have to use 85% power at 5mm sec. Way less power than before.

Did you clean your focus lens?
Make sure you have alignment tuned we’ll or you will suffer a lot power lost. Also, what current were you using?

I installed all new mirrors and lens. I received the laser head and new 18mm lens from lightobject today and my power problem is fixed! Now my table is too low but easy fix.
