Laser Tube Disposal

Is there anything special I need to do to dispose of my old laser tube? I assume that you probably can't just throw them in the garbage but didn't know if they have to be handled special.

Best way IMHO is to contact tubecollectors. There are many and if they can get a "real lasertube"... You can't make them happier.
After all, it's glass-art... and along the normal radiotubes quite impressive.
There is probably a "Marketplace"-site. Advertise it (pickup only, if you wish). You can even get 10-20$ for an old tube.
And if you can't give it away, just smash it and ditch it in the glass container. The recycling will clean all glass, no matter what it contained.
