So I turned on my laser for the first time in months, finally warm enough in the garage to work. Stuck my project in and turned everything on.
it started to move but no light, just a horrible screeching noise. Any ideas of what I did? How to fix? Did I fritz my tube?

I'm guessing that the glass tube wrapping around it isn't supposed to look broken on the end huh?
