K40 laser weak after a minute of use, Is it the laser tube or PS

After finally getting the X7 installed and running I now have a new problem. After a minute or two of use the laser becomes weak. As you can see from the attached pics the Laser starts engraving then becomes weak and will no longer engrave or cut.
How do I troubleshoot if it is the laser or PS?

Update on my own post. I changed out the laser tube, now i can cut 1/8 plywood at 25% power.. Obviously, I had a bad tube....

Thanks for the info!
My laser is doing the exact same thing now, after a few seconds it fades to nothing. Current-meter still shows current flowing though (just like yours) which made me uncertain if it was the tube or a lack of PSU voltage.
Will be ordering a replacement tube one they're in stock.
