I did the x7 dsp upgrade and it is working fine. The issue I have is that it seems to need more power to engrave. A file that I used to engrave at 300mm 50% power with Corellaser/laserdrw. Now I have to do it at 50mm with 70% power with laser cad.
Any suggestions / ideas?
Thanks

Re: X7 DSP upgrade, laser power issues
I don't think the X7 will cause power loss. Remember that the power "%" doesn't mean the true power but a current meter measurement current driven through a laser tube will tell the true power. So, I suggest you to install a current meter to monitor the power.
By the way, did you enable "PPI" on your power setting (by double click the layer). If you do, cutting power or engraving power will be dropped because it is running in "Pulse" mode, rather than continuously mode.
