scale off by a factor of 10.

Post by cgw »

Now that I have the machine up and running. I draw a 10mmX100mm box in laser cad. send it over to the laser printer and I get a scaled box thats only 10mmX10mm. What do I need to change in my settitngs to get laser cad/machine to be 1:1.

Is it that only one axis gets 10% or did you draw a box of 100 x 100 ? (you wrote 10 x 100 mm)
You can set the um/step ten times higher, but check your microstepping first.

It was a 100x100mm box in laser cad, laser cuts a 10x10 box
What in the settings would cause this?

As I wrote you: you can adapt um/pulse with a factor 10.
You can find this UM/Pulse setting in LaserCad > Options > system options > Manufacturer Parameters > X_Axis or Y_Axis
First Read the parameters from the controller, then alter the info an then Save it back.. I think you know the password..
Say there was a value of 1.5 for both, you have to make it 10 x 1.5 = 15 then..
