New Tube Just Arrived - May be Defective

Just got my new K40 tube in the mail today. It was well packaged and seems to have arrived in good shape. However, one of the electrodes is out of alignment and looks like it's in the laser path.

Seems like that would diminish the power quite a bit if it works at all.

What should I do?

Yes, no doubt about it. The ring fell off and it may block the laser beam from outputting. FYI, we exam each tube and done fire test before shipment. Sometimes this kind of issue could escape from our sight and got happened when handled improperly by the mail carrier.

Email our sales guy for a RMA and return the tube. We will ship you another one in a timely manner.

Got a response from sales...

The ring seems move a little bit in transportation. Please put it vertically and shake it. That may bring it back to position. You can also use your water pump or chiller to pump water into the tube.

I've tried shaking it but it doesn't seem to budge at all. The metal tab that connects the electrode to the ring is bent as well. I don't even think water would move it back.
