Upgrading tube and mirror mounts

Post by Azirithdorr »

Hey all,

I just wanted to get options from some of you that may have gone down the same path I'm thinking of taking. Have any of you upgraded the mirror mounts and/or tube mount in your K40 with these:

http://www.lightobject.com/Pro-Laser-Tu ... -P651.aspx

http://www.lightobject.com/Pro-20mm-ref ... -P589.aspx

I just wanted to see if anyone has any feedback - such as, do they actually fit/work in the K40's.

Thanks

Hey Marco, do you happen to know off-hand if the 60mm tube mounts you offer for sale can be used in a K-40 machine ?

It won't work because the K40 has very limited- space

I'm no expert Teacdance, I will leave that to Marco but just for your info, I have the DK40 albeit upgraded to X7 standard. I have both the 38.1 and 50.8. I am cutting 2mm and 3mm acrylic for flight sim panels and the 50.8 does the best job in my opinion. Have a search around other posts on the forum and see what others are using until Marco gets back to you. What works for me might be different for others.

If you want to engrave better, then go for 30.8mm. For cutting 3mm~5mm, you better stick with 50.8mm

yep 50.8mm is better... 30.8mm fit just k40 machine and it's hard to focus if you don't have lifted table.. I have to maybe buy that next :?
