Do you remove the green resistor if using original PWM p/s

Post by jimsbox »

I have the original factory installed PWM power supply and the Big green resistor is installed. Should I remove the resistor or leave it in as I am doing the DSP conversion?

Also, the DSP panel file doesn't appear to allow for mounting the DSP panel itself. Any ideas where can get one that does? This file only allows for the digital meter and safety switch part of the conversion as I see it.

Thanks

You don't need to keep the green giant 'resistor' in the machine as it serves as current limiter from a low quality power supply that used to come with the K40. When a factory copy cat the K40 or D40 from the other, they copy everything and not sure what is that used for, I guess

I'm searching for the panel file and will post it here once I recovery it. I placed somewhere but forgot where
