First taste of D40 conversion
I can't wait to post the work after the conversion. But I'm not ready yet. So, I decided to post a couple images how it did after the DSP installed. And, with air-assisted mount added and mirror re-alignment completed. Hard to image it could cut through 9.5mm hardwood!!
The smallest chars it could engrave and still recognizable was about 1.5mm. See the mini "Marco", I used 1.45mm for the height to engrave it.
With full power 95% and 5mm/s, it could engrave as deep as 2mm. That's good enough for a lot wood work and my customer was so excited to see the work

Re: First taste of D40 conversion
I won't use this power supply and I don't want to do wireing support on this PS. First of all, the PS is no good. It's very unstable. Second, it's non PWM so the quality of image won't be good as the PWM type power supply. Third and forth... many reason not using this PS. I'm wondering how come they are still giving you the PS as a PWM PS has been used for the machine.

By the way, I'm working the Step by Step converstion manual and hopefully I can post it within a week. I used a lot of pictures to show the steps so it should be easy to follow through

Do you sell the pump for the air assist upgrade? I can't seem to find it on the website.

Don't buy it, it's a low grade power supply. Make sure a PS support "TH, TL, WP, In, +5V" for input/output
