3 digit Mini Blue LED DC 100V Volt Meter for cars

Postby xerocomm » Wed Apr 28, 2010 1:38 pm

I bought the 3 digit Mini Blue LED DC 100V Volt Meter for cars motorcycle or boats (bundle) EPM-3D3100VB-AUTO with the 1205S DC-DC 5V. The regulator you shipped me was the DC DEXU RF1205CS-2W 0942. The LED Display has 4 wires Red, Black, Green and Blue. The DCA-Series Regulator has 6 connectors, looks like 1:-Vin 2:+Vin 3:Ve 4:None 5:NC 6:Vo+ 7:Vo- 8:Cext.

Can you please post a wiring example for use in an Automobile with a 12v DC Source Power?

Thanks!

When you reply, send the answer to my email too chris@xerocomm.com

Please be clear on the wiring so we do not damage the meter.

Thanks!

All information can be found on this forum. Basic connection for Amp meter and Volt meter; real example connection for a current meter with isolated module(6 pins), and current transformer (C.T.) for AC current meter.

Thank you for the reply.

The link you sent me:

Is not for a Volt meter.

Also, it has an error in the Vin, you show the wires reversed! I spent the last hour thinking I did something wrong elsewhere only to find an erroneous example.

Please send me an example with correct connections.

The Vin error? My connection was working fine and it's a real sample I set it up for my customer.
The voltmeter is pretty much have the same connection but without the shunt. What is the main purpose of this picture is to show you how to use the 6pin isolated power module. As I said, I posted the basic connection for volt meter and current meter on another post. You should check that one out. I can't creat more per request as time is very limited and schedule is very tight

I have added a document to this thread for your other customers.

The document is the specification sheet for the DC DCA-Series DEXU. This shows the proper connection layout for the DCA-4805S2.
