Hello, I can only get about 25 yrds range out of my unit, how can I get the 200 M they are rated at?

It's very optimal range and you can get it only used it in less "noise" and open air. Plus, the Tx and Rx must be in certain high off ground. In general, you can get 100m in urban most case with line of sight. Try it in different area and double check the battery, antenna. If you still get 75 yards (closed to 75m), you may send it back for exchange

Is the antenna designed tp use as it is, or is it supposed to be unraveled? I tried to unravel it and it came off the unit, I just gently pulled and it was off. I have three and they all have the same range 25 yrds. The other two are coiled, I was afraid to break them.
