JLD612 Problems

I'm having problems with my JLD612 controller. I just installed it (brand new) and it has some strange symbol on the bottom digital numbers on the left side.. I can't get rid of it.

Also, I can't seem to get the process value to read correctly. Using TYPE J.

Any ideas?

You didn't mention the temp sensor you're using, which will be good info for troubleshooting. Unless you are melting steel, the PV value shown in your photo is an odd result. PV stands for Present Value, the current temperature. Just guessing here, but I think reading the manual and setting Inty for the sensor you have will help a lot.
