Jld612 doesn't turn off completely

Post by Redblackviper »

I have two 2200 watt heaters 220v ac, I bought 2 jld612 and 2 40amp ssr.
The jld612 works turns the heaters on and gets up to the 130f required temp but it starts blinking after it passes the 130f mark AND the temp slowly rises it slowly rose to 150f I can't have it run that high. Seams like the ssr is working good I Also have two aluminum heat sinks and a cooling fan.
Also I have a k type thermo coupler

One possible thing comes to mind -- that you didn't program the JLD612 for the K type thermocouple -- the 612 is set by default for the Pt100 RTD from the factory.

Blanking means the SSR change stages from fully ON to partially On. It's good sign that he controller and the SSR is functioning. It's just a matter of PID setting that it's over-shooting. Try use "AT" to let the controller to do auto tuning for the PID parameters
