You can safely ignore this and just leave it at zero, unless you are doing super-critical work. If you're using a Pt100 platinum resistor type sensor, many, if not most of them are accurate to within 0.2% -- plenty good enough for most applications. Thermocouples are almost literally accurate by definition, since their temp sensing/voltage generating characteristics are defined by the materials used to make them.
