wmo furnace

Post by oilburner »

I have a jl612 controller and it has been auto tuned and works great on the first heat cycle. But when the furnace reaches the correct room temp and the furnace shuts down, the block that i am heating doesnt go to complete cool down and the thermostat calls for heat the output for the ssr will not turn on soild or long enough for it to keep my block up to temp. sorry for the rambling first time on a forum and i appericate any help!

The PID controller will call for pulses of power to the heater by briefly switching the relay on -- it's not a thermostat that's full on or full off for long periods; it controls the on-off duty cycle of the heater to maintain a constant temperature as detected by the temperature sensor. I use a Solid-State Relay (SSR) and the controller turns it on for a 1/2 second or so and then off for several seconds after the temperature has stabilized. This holds the system within 0.2 degrees F. Your description sounds like it is working as it should.
