Water Chiller Flow and Temp Control

I have a X7 running RayCam v15. I also have a water chiller that has RS232 out for remote monitoring/control. If i connect the RS232 out of the chiller to my computer, will RayCam, located in 'IO_Manufacturing Parameters_Systems Setting', monitor water protect?
Will I still need to hardwire the water switch to the X7?
The water chiller I using has the water protect on pins 1 & 6 of the 9-pin RS232 connector.
