I'm using a K thermocouple. I put it in ICE water and it read 36 degrees but my other thermometer (and physics) say it's 32 degrees, so I set PSB to -4 and now the JLD612 says 32. Then I put it in boiling water but I get 209 and not 212. Is there a way to adjust two point on the temp scale?
One note: I did cut off the factory crimp connectors so I could feed the cable through my case and installed new crimp connectors. They look exactly like the ones I removed. I know thermocouples are sensitive to exactly where the metal junctions are. Couple this be causing my miss correlation?

Reversed the K type thermocouple see if it got improvement.
Also, try another thermocouple if you have that handy

Re: JLD 612 PSB
Doesn't the fact that the temp moved in the correct direction mean I have the polarity of the thermocouple correct?
