Upgrade old rf laser machine with a laser tube

Hi! i have recently recived as a gift an old pinnacle mercury 12w laser, the tube is a metal rf one, it has drained almost all its power and it has to be replaced, in have a 60w laser tube (glass) and power supply that I get here in ligthobject. I was wondering if I can replace the metal tube and power source, with the glass tube and its power source, the motherboard of both machines sends the same information to the power supply or not? thanks!

Well, the way to energize a RF is different than a CO2 where RF need 5000Hz TTL to work while a CO2 need PWM and 20Hz.
So, unless you change the controller card, otherwise I don't think it could work properly. May be ok for cutting but I doubt it works on engraving

I need it only for cuting, its dangerous to conect it and try if it works? Can i damage the board or the power source or the tube? Thanks for Your reply
