I replaced my 40W 700mm tube with a LO 45W 1000mm tube and it cuts great but the engraving is not so good. In fact it is getting worse. The engraving started out by engraving everything like it is bolded and blurry. The only thing I could think to do is change the font to a line font. It looks better but is now not crisp at all. Tonight I engraved 15 legend plates and some were somewhat ok and others look like they were double engraved even though they were not. Could it possibly be the power supply?
New tube cuts great but engraves terrible.

Re: New tube cuts great but engraves terrible.
I don't think that it was anything to do with the tube
I mentioned from the other post that it was something related to the focus or over power that may caused the issue. In this case, it seems there was mechanical issue. You better check the belt, cartridge, lens/mount, mirrors... laser tube or power supply won't caused the "shakey" results like pictures you posted. At least I never seems that happened on my build or on my machines

I agree Marco. I may need to replace the x axis belt.
