Laser is cutting one jagged line on a rectangle

Post by shanet94 »

Last year we built a 120watt laser and it has performed flawless. Out of the blue this week it started to cut odd on one of the jobs that is saved on the DSP Controller. We have cut this job hundreds of times over the year with never a issue. Now the top cut is all wavey but the other 3 sides of the rectangle are just fine. Got me baffled!!

If you have spare I'd swap all the mirrors and lenses as a process of elimination. Does it do it all over the bed or just in one corner?

It seems mirrors or lens got lose. Plus, losing tension on belt or old belt may cause the problem

I am actually moving the machine to a new location in about a month, I will check the mirrors / belts ect when I re align the tube after the move. Thanks for the starting point!
