LO-600W chiller flow alarm sensitivity

Post by audiomath »

Hello,
I just received my new LO-600W chiller today.

The pump pressure is very high as compared to the fountain pump I had been using, it blew the 8x12mm tubing off the laser tube in two places. I have a roll of .25" x .475" so I ran new tubing with the slightly smaller inside diameter and it seems to be holding.

My problem is the chiller flow alarm now beeps every second or so. Perhaps the reduced flow with the 1/4" ID tubing is causing it? I don't know. Is there a way to reduce the sensitivity of the alarm? If not I could disconnect the alert beeper, since the laser has its own flow alarm. I would prefer not to do that, though.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

As it turns out, 1/4" (6mm) ID tubing is too small overall. The flow sensor in the laser trips as well.
I'm going to try new 8x12mm as recommended here, hopefully the new tubing won't blow off like the older tubing did.
