Pro 25mm beam combiner

Post by GeneMpls »

Marco- I see that you have stock on the beam combiner again- can I position this right out of the 1st mirror- that is where I have room for it. Thanks

Hey Gene:

Yes you can. The new combiner is a fixed version. It should work better on the beam alignment issue happened with beam expander.

Marco- one last question before I order- my laser is 130w- this 25mm lens will be OK with that, right? Thanks Gene

It depends on the size of the laser beam spot. So, you need to measure the beam size.

I suggest 1.5X beam expander. 2.0X may be too big for regular machine. If you have 7.55mm beam diameter, you may get 12~14mm diameter right before the inlet hole from the laser head. If you get 2.0x, you may get 16~18mm beam diameter. I think it is just too big for 25mm reflection mirror for for a common laser head.

Marco- I get 8.6mm at the farthest corner of the machine (1300x900) at the cutting head. I am not sure what a beam expander does or where it goes.
Thanks

Hi Gene

Discard my last post because I thought you wanted to use an beam expander. You are good to go
