Need help wiring the potentiometer I bought from you.

Post by wdlanghans »

Hi,

I need some help to make sure that I'm wiring the new power supply and potentiometer correctly.

This is how the old power supply was wired.

The Red wire is the TL

The Yellow is the Ground (which is also jumped to the Water Protection)
Question #1 : I have a cable that goes directly from my water chiller to the laser that is providing the
water protection circuit so I assume that's why the water protection is jumped to the
ground, and that I need to do the same thing with the new power supply. Correct?

The White wire is the IN

Here's the potentiometer I got from lightobject

Here is the link to the power supply that I purchased from you

Here is the link to the instructions for this power supply that you sent me:

So according to the wiring diagram on the second page of the PDF I'm assuming that this is how I wire up the new power supply and potentiometer, please correct me if I am wrong on any of this.

The Red wire to the L
The Yellow wire to the Ground, and jumped to the WP
The 5V into the 1 of the potentiometer
The IN into the middle of the potentiometer
The Ground into the 3 of the potentiometer

And the white wire from the controller is is no longer used.

Yes / No ???

Thanks for your help!
