Hi ,
I think I had seen a post about the steps and settings for taking a .jpg picture and prepping it for laser engraving but I can't find it now. I've tried importing a .jpg into Corel and changing it to a bitmap using several resolutions and other settings but when I take it to LaserCAD from Corel it's either too light or FAR too dark.
Can anyone provide any links or info to help me with this ?
Thanks much,
Steve

Re: Steps for Picture engravings
Thanks very much, that's very helpful and interesting ! I just lazed my first picture today (before I saw your reply) on some light cardboard as a test and it turned out decent for my first try so I'm happy. I used the "Gold Method" plugin for photoshop and it was relatively easy, I will play around with the settings a bit and try again.
But I'm going to try as the video shows in Corel X4 and see how it does. I'll post some pics when I get a couple done on granite and/or acrylic.
Thanks again !!!
