Concern re: High Temp (100'C) 6.8L/Min mini DC 12 V pump

I attempted to use a 12V 750 mA DC adaptor to power this pump, but it did not work. Is this the correct adaptor, or should I be concerned about the pump?

What didn't work? Please be specific. Not spinning or not pumping?

It's not spinning (or pumping). It doesn't make any sounds either. It's as if there is no power to the device.
