I am looking for a food safe temperature probe with a threaded body that I can use in a homebrew mash setup. What is the probe body made of in the threaded thermocouples like the ETC-CB-K1M?

I am looking for a food safe temperature probe with a threaded body that I can use in a homebrew mash setup. What is the probe body made of in the threaded thermocouples like the ETC-CB-K1M?

I worked for quite a while in the food industry doing instrumentation work. Most of the time when we measured the temperature of the product we used a stainless steel well that was either screwed or welded to the vessel. The temperature proibe was then inserted in the well. The advantage was that we could replace the temp. probe without needing to drain the vessel.
