Re: K40 mini rotary. Higher quality made

Thanks a lot. I'm ordering a couple of laser heads today! No problem, I added more detail to the post in a second image, the key thing to remember is all angles are 90 Degrees... if you are off by a few degrees, the beam may hit inside the barrel or will not be centered when exiting and thus distor...

Re: K40 mini rotary. Higher quality made

OK... For anyone interested... The 90 degree head works like a charm.... this is with a K40 35 watt laser at 25% engraving a 70mm water bottle at 90 degrees, I estimate I can likely engrave up to 100mm dia object. A far cry from the 30mm Dia. max I could engrave before the mod. Hi DonL. Care to sha...

Re: Looking for a new name for LaserCad

I think that you need to consider searchability, putting Light Object in the name helps in directing traffic to your site, I would suggest this name

Light Object LaserPlotter

Re: What is the difference between AWC-608B / X7 DSP / R5 DS

Update: Ramp feature has been completed. But, I will not release it until a few more features completed. Plus, I have to launch the software in a new name other than 'LaserCad'. A few new features will be add-on and is free for customers who purchased from us within a year. For customer with who pu...

Re: Low Power Laser No Matter What I Do

There must be something being overlooked.... The photo you show is a FL: 50.8 lens, so from the work surface to the lens is 50.8mm ? You need to have this measurement spot on for best performance... You can't see the lens so you need to figure it is in the bottom of the laser head below the above th...

Re: What is the difference between AWC-608B / X7 DSP / R5 DS

Hello Don: 3) Ramp engraving. This is a great feature for Stamp maker (I don't know why ramp is important for stamp making) Marco Ramp engrave is important because rubber is flexible and thin lines if not ramped, will fold over when you press down on the stamp, By ramp engraving you get a triangle ...

Marco, Yes, their is a break feature. ( not to usefull ) And NO their is not a join feature. at least not that I have found. this area certainly could use some improvements. If not a simple revamp. -Sam There is a Join and a Break feature, Used it a lot the other day 1.JPG 2.JPG 3.JPG 4.JPG 5.JPG

Re: Anyone notice this?

My machine is level, I am using a workmate and the two U channels are sitting on the wooden table tops so the feet are not touching, it is stable and level, I can even lean on the machine and nothing moves. A workmate is one of those collapsable tables with two sections that crank apart so you can c...

stray lines from Corel to LaserCAD

It seems lately that when I export a drawing from Corel, it has all these extra lines... I must have changed something... Anyone else seen this? it is a pain to spend more time cleaning up than to draw.... Corel X7 text or curves, doesn't matter lines.JPG UPDATE : I had a old config file where I exp...

Re: What is the difference between AWC-608B / X7 DSP / R5 DS

I tried the GRADE engrave into wood, with the LO-X7 and it was not a very good result. The Vertical sections of text had a nice ramp, the horizontal had none so the engrave looked very weird/ I don't have a photo handy but here is a simulated drawing slope.JPG This is a crude drawing but gives you a...

Re: Super Fast Laser, or is it?

That is what I figure, High speeds like 1500mm/s are good for large jobs, big laser, where your graphic is maybe 3 feet wide, then the speed will make a big difference bacuse it will over the graphic longer than the accel/decell time but for small graphics it is takking longer to accelorate and dece...

Im using CerMark LMM-6000 ( co2 laser 80w) 50 pw x 300 speed ... still not working any suggestions?? I don't know what the issues are that you are having... I can guess I suppose... If you are trying to etch thick material with a nickle (chrome) plate, it is very difficult The engraving is faint in...
