Re: Out of Bounds / Scaling Issue AWC608

DonL was in fact correct. The Origin settings on the DSP were not set correctly. It was basing off of an arbitrary point on the laser bed and not 0,0 when it started cutting. Changing it to machine zero as origin seems to have solved the issue, not the file with three squares runs at the appropriat...

Re: "Overshoot" spots during engrave

Because the laser fires with high voltage, I would make sure that your grounds are A1 if you have not tried that... And if you are not using the chassis ground, consider using it. House mains have a ground but I have seen them less than perfect. If your chassis is not well grounded, you can end up ...

Re: Out of Bounds / Scaling Issue AWC608

Check your origin settings.... See my post on How to set Origins http://www.lightobject.info/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=3002 . If the origin is set to the current laser head position and you are not at 0,0 this can occure. There is only one origin setting that matches your screen to the table layout wh...

Re: Help please! how to make a belt

Moving on from this...... Has anyone managed to super glue this belt together yet? :) I have seen belts that were stitched but not glued, crazy glue may hold the belt together but it is not flexible so if that section goes around a drive or idler, it will cause a jump or break the belt at the bond....

Re: Help please! how to make a belt

Even those that speak perfect english are often accused of being rude or abrupt or insulting in a text environment. That was why emdicons were invented, smile Because people sometimes take things the wrong way. This has been a problem for many years and people should have a bit of understanding when...

It is not likely to be very expensive either so hackers won't bother with it. So you would think anyway

Agreed, I have been asking for that as well, I think Tech_Marco is working on it so I don't want to hound him :?

Re: What is the difference between AWC-608B / X7 DSP / R5 DS

I'd be happy paying £30 for new software that saves the settings for different materials :) Just as a note, Each color remebers the last seettings so if you want to save the settings for engraving glass for example, use yellow for the layer color then next time the settings will still be set from t...

Re: Looking for a new name for LaserCad

How about something more unusual. Looking at the science of it you could call it something good like Photon cutter Photonator Vaporiser lab :D ( I like this ) Monochromatic lab Lasershop Collimator ( from collimated ) Or how about FLASH! cutter ( Flash Gordon uses lots of lasers) Or maybe Auric aft...

Re: Looking for a new name for LaserCad

It is the same as LaserCad but with more features add on. Plus, a security check may be implemented so that a DSP Not purchase from us will not work Marco understandable however you had mentioned selling the software and it is likely the buyers may not have purchased from LO but what a great way to...

Re: Looking for a new name for LaserCad

One important question.... Will the new version be able to open LaserCAD Files or do you plan to make the saved files proprietary?Reason is when I upgraded from Moshi to LaserCAD, I had about a dozen saved projects I had to recreate, not a big deal, But now I have a hundred or so and if they are not...

Re: "Overshoot" spots during engrave

I had those little random nicks in engraving edges when my lens mount was loose. Check for a loose lens holder or mirror holder. Tightening mine fixed the random spots instantly. Also, you may consider running at a lower speed - 700mm/s may rattle something that a lower speed wouldn't. @DonL - Just...

DonL, Just dl'd installed .... Wow! very promising. lots of times I just want quick easy shapes. seems overkill to open Autocad etc...
