Re: Real time auto focus tracking system for CO2 laser

Regular stepping motor is ok. Remember that is is designed for cutting but not for engraving so the X traveling speed is hardly go over 50mm/s. But one may want to upgrade the X motor for another size bigger or like you said get the closed loop stepper should get better performance. I need to test i...

Real time auto focus tracking system for CO2 laser

Hey folks

We are designing a real time tracking system similar to this:

We should be able to launch the first system in two months if things go smoothly. Double fingers crossed!

Re: Rotary Engraving?

I may be a little bit exaggerate of being knocked down by two bottle. But, after one bottle, my face got hot. If lucky I could finish the second bottle, my face would get red and I could walk straight on a waving boat  I like 'Foaster', an Australian beer but not very popular. Sometimes I may t...

Re: Rotary Engraving?

Good to know that you're not getting mad on me :P I hate to see people blamed on me for things that I didn't commit. Anyway, you may send the controller back to us for upgrade. Just let you know that the Y movement will be disabled once you enabled the rotary. People blamed on me on that part as wel...

Re: Rotary Engraving?

I don't know what is wrong here?! I always allow my customer to send the card back for upgrade, didn't even read my posts before? And instead of charging $30, I only asked my customers to pay for the shipping and basic $10 for handling fee? Did I ask too much? If you still think that $10 still cost ...

Re: Rotary Engraving?

I don't promise n one that the U axis for rotary would be installed or whatever, I only told that the feature was on my wising list to get the programmer to add it. You have a whole year to get send it to me for upgrade but you didn't and now getting pissed on m...

Re: Rotary Engraving?

When did you purchase it? What is your order number? Raycam doesn't cost any $ and you're free to download it
I have mentioned that for certain customers (within certain time), they can send the card back to me to upgrade.

Re: x7 dsp controller and synrad j48-2

I never setup a RF system so I don't have hands on experience with that. There were a few post associated with RF and X7 that have been discussed before. You may want to search those posted from the forum. FYI, to the best my understand that what you need to do is to set the X7 for RF by selecting '...

Re: Rotary Engraving?

You can't use U axis for rotary on X7 without running Raycam. You have to setup 'Y' axis or 'X' for that purpose.

You can't change the % or time because it should be handled by your RF tube/ circuitry internally
For RF, I was told that the frequency should be set to '5000Hz'

Re: Beam Expander Recommendation

I'll go for 2.0x if possible. You may get better collimation result. However, there is a 'drawback'. Now the beam angle will be sharper so you will have more 'slope' on the cutting edge. But engraving should be improved much better because of wider beam and more fine beam spot. If you want to offset...

Hey Chris: A little busy here so didn't answer your PM message in time. Sorry about it smile (We're making some products for a winery and it kept me busy like an ant. Plus, we just got a new ocean shipment, there are some new 'toy' for me to play like the Hybrid metal/non-metal machine) You may go f...

Re: 130W Hybrid

We haven't much info to share yet until we finished some test. The 130W may not get nice cut on 2mm stainless steel because it has to run at very slow like 3~4mm/s. I was told that it could cut well on 1.5mm with decent speed and result. For sure the 150W will handle the 2mm stainless and 4mm mild s...
