Re: Ends do not line up when cutting

Maybe the material is moving. Had the same issue. Now I use a few strips of thick aluminium bar and sticked some anti slip rubber on it, and placed it against the material.

Re: RayCAM not able to communicate with LO E5

Same problem here, I sent my LO E5 to Lightobject for repair / warranty issues to USA (I live in Europe), and asked in my letter to Lightobject also to update the firmware/software to work with Raycam. End of December I received a replacement DSP. This DSP is functioning well, but not with Raycam (D...

Re: Element E5 limit switches not working, faulty DSP?

Hi Marco,

I double checked the limit switches, wiring and tested the limit switch pin connections on the DSP, but no luck... I have send the DSP to you by airmail, I will send you a pm about it,

Dennis

Re: Element E5 limit switches not working, faulty DSP?

I included the screenshots with this reply. It could be that the acceleration settings are not correct anymore. I started with the factory setting and I have tried almost every setting to get the limit switches working. My working space (x and y range) 345 x 260mm is bigger than factory standard (it...

Re: Element E5 limit switches not working, faulty DSP?

Hi Marco, Thank you for your reply. On the DSP I shorted the both the X and Y and GND limit switch pins without using the switches them selves. It still doesn't work right. The dsp is not sensing the limit switch signal. Do you have more suggestions which things I should check next? Other functions ...

Element E5 limit switches not working, faulty DSP?

Hi all, I completed my K40 conversion with the Element E5 DSP controller. I wired the DSP according the schematics on this site. For me (an engineer) not a big problem, only time consuming. It looks like that the DSP is not 'sensing' the limit switches. The laser head carriage is bumping to the swit...

Re: Element E5 dsp water protect wiring question

Thanks, the machine works, but still having problems, I open another thread in K40, think that is a better place for it.

Re: Element E5 dsp water protect wiring question

After searching a great part of the internet, I'll just wire the lid and the WP switch directly (in series) to the PSU, and no wiring to the dsp controller.

Element E5 dsp water protect wiring question

Hi all, This is my first post here, I bought a Element 5 DSP upgrade kit for my K40 laser engraver. After 3 weeks of hardware fine tuning, I started today with the wiring. 220v wiring was no problem, but I encounter problems wiring the Water Protect switch. Do I have to wire the WP switch to the PSU...
