Does anyone have the latest lasercad manual?

Hi, I have been looking for the latest 7.86 lasercad manual so I can find out exactly what BMP Optimize YES - NO does. The problem I am having is in some laser burns of a dithered photo, when it gets dark and then there is a black object so say a person has a tanned arm and a black watch on, the arm...

Re: Laser Head fit into DK40

Not without modification. This laser head mounts with 4 screws, the K40 head UN-threads in half and is placed through a hole in the mount carriage. This is the upgrade head for the K40 http://www.lightobject.com/18mm-Laser-head-w-air-assisted-Ideal-for-K40-machine-P701.aspx The laser head you showed...

Re: Software Questions

I don't use AutoCAD, I use Corel however I had similar issues, So I found that if you have guide lines it will give problems, If you use text, convert the text to curves and then use the Weld command before exporting to LaserCAD. So in your cad design, just before you export, delete any guide lines,...

Re: Latest LaserCAD

Is there anywhere for 3D Printed Lazer Mods? I am working on a 90 Degree lazer head for the rotary table and if it works out well I would like to post the .stl file for anyone else interested in printing one.

Latest LaserCAD

The latest LaserCAD released at the end of July is identical to the same version 7.79C on Sinjoe that I got last March... Why are we 4 months behind in versions and is there any word on changing the U axis for Rotary?

PS: Like the old Forum better.

Re: K40 mini rotary. Higher quality made

The instructions on page 4 does not help me. From my Controller go 4 wires in the Y motor. How do I take DIR PULL +5V for the rotary driver? Or do I have the y Rotary motor connect directly to the controller ? Thanks for help. Sorry, The mods I gave are for the Light Objects Controllers like the LO...

Thanks
Chris

I used a Network CAT5 cable joining all the same colors together (yellow with strip joined to Solid Yellow...) and RG45 Plugs, You can use any 4 wire plug

Re: K40 mini rotary. Higher quality made

Yes, Please go back 1 page to page 4 of this thread and the instructions with photos are here.

You need the Mini Rotary, A Stepper driver http://www.lightobject.com/Mini-2-Phase ... -P650.aspx
and some wire.

Re: Couple of important questions I'm sure someone can answe

Questions: 1 - I purchased the X7 upgrade kit and it came with an 18mm air assist head. I apparently need to get the mirror and lens for this as it was not included in the kit. I was looking through the lenses and see a bunch of different ones, one was a High quality 18mm ZnSe Focus lens (F50.8mm);...

Re: "Overshoot" spots during engrave

Yes, 4 Nylon wheels ridding on an aluminium bar tends to be a recipe for vibration and any dirt on the bar is a bump in the road so more vibration... I notice more expensive units use a 2-bar and bushing system much like the Y axis has onlu it is a single bar or they use much higher quality rollers....

Re: "Overshoot" spots during engrave

Well... looks like I have to eat some crow.... I am getting wavy lines too, looks like vibration issues, but like I said, I seldome use CUT unless I am cutting and then it is at low speed like 10mm/s so not a concern for me. when engraving the head movement is more fluid so much less vibratio...

Re: "Overshoot" spots during engrave

I generally never cut after engrave, I find my edges even at 400mm/s are very clean, it does tend to give a bit of dimension to the lettering I must admit and so it is a matter of taste. Having said that, I tried the cut after engrave several times and I set the speed to 300mm/s with 40% Power, (I o...

I finally got my laser up and working. Prints the duck just fine but I am having issues with Corel Draw. I installed the plug in and I am unsure as to the process of sending your drawing to the printer. I was told it prints directly to the printer, but I cannot figure out how. Can someone go over t...
