Re: LO-X7 with RayCam firmware: Output Control

Well I had some spare time to play with the outputs. My test results are (in RED); Out1: '0V' when system idle. Appear'24V' when gantry is moving & Laser is firing while running a job Out2: '0V' when not firing. Appear '24V' when laser is firing by pressing "Laser" on DSP, gantry not m...

LO-X7 with RayCam firmware: Output Control

I have upgraded my DSP firmware to RayCam software 1.5 Based on the information from this thread; http://www.lightobject.info/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=3090&hilit=dsp+output+control It says Output 2 should go high (24VDC) when the laser is firing. This is true, if I walk up to the DSP and press '...

Re: Any update on being able to use U-Axis for rotary engraving

Marco,

Sorry, my fault, I was confused a little.

What address do I send it to ? and how much ?

If you use UPS, I can include a label for return shipping.

Thanks !

Todd

Re: Any update on being able to use U-Axis for rotary engraving

What do I send in for the firmware upgrade;
the LCD Display or the unit you hook all the wires to ?

Is there a way to save my current settings or will any settings get lost ?

Will the v1.5 software & firmware upgrade give me a U-Axis. Yes or No ??

Re: Any update on being able to use U-Axis for rotary engraving

I just installed RayCam v1.2. I didn't see any U-Axis support ?

If I send in my LO-X7 to upgrade the firmware and run RayCam v1.2.

Will I have the ability to use the U-Axis ?

Re: Any update on being able to use U-Axis for rotary engraving

One of the reasons I purchased this DSP, was for the rotary U-Axis feature.

At the time, it was implied that it would be there as an update in the software.

I would rather have a working U-Axis instead of doing rubber stamps w/ramps.

Re: Laser build

Well Done ! Looks nice !

I'm building the same frame, but I have yet to take any recent pictures.

I wasn't planning to skin mine yet, but I like what you did on yours.

Re: Lightobject 600W Mini Water Chiller wont CHILL

Marco,

That's a nice offer, but I ran it for a few hours, just concerned
about the compressor may be bad now (ran low on oil) it was hot !

It'll will cost me $95 to ship it back, I'd rather exchange it for a
new one if I have to pay.

I'm sure we can work it out.

Re: Lightobject 600W Mini Water Chiller wont CHILL

Took cover off, refrigerant lines do not get cold.
There is a light mist of oil on copper lines, must
be where the leak is. Talked to an AC guy to see
if it could be recharged (yes) but if the compressor
ran for a while without freon, it's also bad.

Re: Lightobject 600W Mini Water Chiller wont CHILL

Got up this morning to give it another try... Checked default parameters, F0 = 25c & F3 was intelligent mode. I did another factory rest, F0=20c and in refrigeration mode. Turned unit on, D2 flashes for about 30 seconds and the the fan turns on. Temp display indicates 22.5c. At this point I woul...

Lightobject 600W Mini Water Chiller wont CHILL

I was getting ready to fire up the laser this weekend and the chiller wont chill. If anything, the temperature just climbs. I have done a reset to factory parameters by holding up/down arrow for a few seconds until the display shows rE. When I power it up D1 is lit and D2 flashes for about 30 second...

You will never see the 'beam', it's out of range for human eyes.

They will protect your eyes from reflections off the laser component(s)

Re: Marco I have a question.

I have a question about tube life. I have been slowly building a 900x600 laser. All using parts from LightObject. Late April I bought a Reci S2 80W tube (10000Hrs) I have yet to fire it up, sometime in October I will get back to this project when work is not so busy. What dictates how long a tube la...

Re: Green Z-Table doesnt lift much weight.

Problem solved ! My mistake, I am so embarrassed hammer

Going over my work, I discovered that the dip switch(s) for current
control was actually set to min rather than max, I had them inverted.

Going strong up and down. Lifting plenty of weight !

I guess my old lady is right, I need glasses.

Re: Green Z-Table doesnt lift much weight.

I removed the belt and turned it by hand, didn't seem
to bind up. I did notice two "E" or "C" clips were missing,
but not a factor.

I just need a bit more torque, perhaps I could run it
at 48vdc ?
