Re: Beam inside or outside of line

Thanks,

That makes sense now. I did not know the beam is set to be exactly on the drawing line, since it is diferrent to what I was used to with my cnc machines.

I will look into the new SW.

Cheers

Beam inside or outside of line

Hi Guys,

What determines the position of the beam width (kref) to be outside of the cutting line or inside the line ?

In some SW you can set the machine so the tool will cut outside or inside of the line? How can I do this with RayVAM 19 ?

Cheers

Re: Changing *.ud5 parameters - SOLVED

No, I don't ;) Here is what I did and it works fine for me: 1. On main screen you hit ENTER 2. Set cursor to FILE and hit ENTER - this will bring you to FILE PARAMS SETTINGS 3. Arrow down to LAYER PARAMS SETTINGS - and press ENTER 4. Arrow down to SPEED (MM/S) change numbers and DO NOT FORGET TO PRE...

Changing *.ud5 parameters - SOLVED

Hi Guys, I am using the machine with the USB disk only. Have no problem to load the file into machine. Now in case I am not happy with the settings within the file - is here a way to change those settings in the machine itself or do I need to reprogram the file on the PC ? For example - suppose I dr...

Door switch NO or NC

Hi guys,

The door switch on the X7 (port 11 IN) - is it NO or NC ? Have seen some conflicting diagrams.

To make it clear - when door is closed - should the controller get closed circuit or open circuit to allow the machine to work ?

Cheers

Re: Water, Door, foot safety features

Hi again Kees, In the LO DSP connection diagram - the water sensor is connected only to the laser PSU. In TROCEN diagram - the water protection (cooler) is connected to both - the controller AND the laser PSU. If I wish to connect my water sensor to the controller as mentioned above - do I need to c...

Water, Door, foot safety features

Hi Guys,

Those safety features - are they stopping only the laser from firing or the laser AND machine movement ?

Cheers

Re: First time firing my LO-x7 - got some issues

Hi SWMS Yes - I have set my machine to the X and Y range, and when the machine homes, I can't move beyond the 0,0 and also beyond my range setting (in my case 550 and 300) My concern was that the machine rejects the option of hard limits. I have 2 CNC machines where I Installed hard limit switches b...

Re: First time firing my LO-x7 - got some issues

Thanks Kees

I am using RayCam, however I assume your advice will be the same for LaserCad too.

I did not know about the SHIFT + STOP option - I will give it a go.

Thanks

Re: Laser Off/On switch questions

Thanks Marco

Yes - I think to have a switch that will cut-off both functions at the LPSU is the best option.

Laser Off/On switch questions

Hi Guys, I would like to have an additional switch to the emergency and main power, which I can control the tube mainly for running dry runs without the laser firing. My question is - where do I put the laser off/on switch ? One option will be to have a separate mains line to the laser PSU - and put...

LO X7 and RDworks

Hello guys,

Can the LO X7 work OK with RDworks v8 ?

I have found some very good youtube videos on how to work with RDworks - so I wonder if the X7 is OK with this SW.

Many thanks
