Re: Any tips in preparing Adobe Illustrator artwork?

If ou chosen English and it still showing Chinese. I found that it was caused by the window security. What you need to do is to copy the English language from the installation folder and paste it into the folder that you installed will fix it. It happened not only to Lasersoft but to the LaserCad an...

Re: Real time auto focus tracking system for CO2 laser

Yes, it is completed and in final testing phase. It works really good if you're cutting speed is under 30mm/s. The reason I didn't launch it yet becauseI found that if the cutting speed is 50mm/s of faster, the speed of the powered telescope couldn't catch up. But the true is that, In reality you ha...

Re: Real time auto focus tracking system for CO2 laser

Which one, real time tracking or one time passive through Z table ? Passive one is here and ready to sell. The real time tracking still need a little fine tuning even though is full functioning now. I want to improve the speed response from 30mm to 50mm. Am I a little greedy? ! :P

No, use the default driver. Sometimes Windows do weird things on driver.

Re: t9 Upgrade - Laser Won't Fire

If you can fire the laser by pressing the Laser button on the LCD control board, it means that the system is ready to some extend. Check your laser power setting, and if you enabled the layer (a square check box next to the layer distinguish by colors).

Re: t9 Upgrade - Laser Won't Fire

Check water protection. On your laser power supply, there should be a terminal named " WP" which is used for the water sensor control input. If you haven't any water sensor installed in your machine, you may connect it to Ground to enable then laser power supply. If it is not water protect...

Re: X7 DSP wiring to the K40 power module- Not firing

You need to 'Save' the new um after change. I believed that you missed one step and end up the um wasn't saved. If you're talking about double image that was caused by backslash, then I'll consider of losing focus lens. Unscrew the laser head out and shake it see if you hear noise. If you did, then ...

Re: X7 DSP wiring to the K40 power module- Not firing

Either you may have double image or the number count was set to 2. BTW, check your focus because even with two engraving, the result shouldn't be blurry at all

Re: X7 DSP wiring to the K40 power module- Not firing

You can't have UM smaer than 1.0. I think you may have micro stepping being set too large. For laser machinr, it may set it to 3200 to 5000 and I usually set it to 4000. It will end up that the UM roughly in 4 for gantry with 2:1 reduction gear.

Re: Laser Setting

The trick to make a nice acrylic cutting with less wobble lines is to do it with 1)lower speed, 2) less air, 3)lower power I'll suggest you to cut acrylic with less air to the extend of almost not feeling it or just feeling a little from the laser tip. Then, adjust the power to 25% or less with spee...
