Re: Motor Controller Compatibility?

I believe it was done by typo. What we mean was 'Leadshine' where Leetro is another company who make laser controller board. Sometimes we got confused as well hammer (hammer on me!)

Re: Motor Controller Compatibility?

Sorry I don't have experience with Gecko motor drivers. So I can't tell much unless you send the motor drivers here for testing
Worst scenario, you may get two regular 2phas motor drivers to replace it.

New beta LaserSoft V7.21.10 (with 're-cut')

With this version, it comes with 're-cut' feature. It isn't perfect yet but it works good so far. Other value added is layer identifier. If an object on the drawing board is selected and highlighted, the layer control on the top-right menu will show the layer. So, it is very easy to tell what layer ...

Re: Backlash compensation?

Your settings of acceleration for X and Y were way too high!
X: 10,000
Y: 5,000

Also, try to use 5000 for micro stepping

Re: New keypad layout and new features request for DSP T9+

Here is another one look (actual) of T9 with new template and box. The controller now come with a new software that allow 're-cut' . What is a 're-cut'? Image if you're doing job for a complicate design take take 30min or longer to cut and found that part of area not cut through from the 1st cut. Wh...

Re: Fusion 360 to T9 DSP controller

Currently the LaserSoft support Illustrator 8.0 and AutoCad (DXF) 2004 or R12-R14. Programmers will try to make it to support more latest version in next couple months. Currently, they are working on 'Re-cut' features and a new add-on module for the CorelDraw 2018. In the mean time, an alternative w...

Re: Backlash compensation?

Re: Backlash compensation?

I never head that backlash happened to the Y axis. Usually it happened to the X axis during high speed engraving with high acceleration. How fast did you run on your job? What kind of machine do you have? Send pictures to show your gantry and motors. 0.075mm is really small on X axis. But 0.25mm is ...

Re: Backlash compensation?

I'm trying to figure out what is the "Cuttion Backlash". Waiting for reply from the programmer
As I was told, you're using "Carving backlash' to make compensation. The other way to improve the backlash is to change the belt and tighten belt pulley a little bit.

Re: Dispersion Curve?

When cutting a circle, you are actually cutting a bunch of straight lines that form the circle. The number here is the length of each "line". The smaller of the number, the more smooth of the circle. But it will slow down the cutting if you set this number too small. 0.1 sounds a good numb...

Re: Real time tracking auto focus laser head

I have that idea back to 5~6 years ago. At that time, I couldn't find any digital distance sensor and thinking to design one. I went to talk with an engineer in Parallax, Rosevile in California where is 45min drive from my office. Anyway, long story short. Recently I found the sensor so I teamed up ...

Re: New keypad layout and new features request for DSP T9+

Update: Just got the new template done. Any change request got to wait till 500x sold out (sorry Kee smile) By the way, the LCD box will be painted to the similar color of the template so that you won't see the white border like the attached image is showing. A few new features added, like the 're-c...

Re: Láser tube more powerfull than power source

You may get some output but it could over driven the power supply. Depends on the design and parts used in that power supply, it may get damaged sooner or later. You better to get a full 100E laser power supply for long run.
