Re: Laser Head Question

I'd to use 50% alcohol(91%) + 50% acetone Then use a cotton ball (better to have de-grease ) or quality lens clean paper. Do not rug the lens but apply pressure gently with your finger and move in half circular motion. Do not over-lap with the same cleaning paper or cotton but use a new one. So, one...

Re: Laser Head Question

Yes it did. If you rug a little harder on the lens or mirror with a cotton ball and alcohol, you will see scratches.
If that happen, beam spot may be diffused and cutting power will be affected.

Re: Laser Head Question

Sorry but I have to disagree of using a toothpick trying to touch the lens. The coating of the lens is easy got damage. Even smoke on the surface of the lens will affect the output cutting power! Simple way for us is to fire laser at lower power and find the tiniest spot. Or, you can burn a line in ...

Re: What Stepping Motor Driver Should I buy ? U-axis . . .

We changed it to 3 phase motor because all our laser machine are now using 3 phase. I will have to correct the item description, thanks for the info

Re: What Stepping Motor Driver Should I buy ? U-axis . . .

You can get 3MD560 or 3MD580, any 3 phase motor driver capable to supply 4A or more current would be fine

Re: 3MM Baltic Birch Ply

Strange!
We tested it before shipped

Could you download a simple file like a square box?

Check the memory of the card and remove all files then try again

If it doesn't work, check connection of wires in the controller because it may got lose during transportation

Re: 3MM Baltic Birch Ply

Try 6mm/s on each corner see if it cut through. If it does, then try 7mm until if can't cut through then tuned 1mm/s less to ensure that it cut through everything on your project Remember that the sample must at least 25mm long rectangular but not small circles like because it take time to speed up....

Re: Raycam and Rotary on U axis

Look, I didn't promise anything here. I only made suggestion to the programmer what feature(s) should be added to the software to make the card be more powerful. I made a wish list and posted on this forum if you remembered. Again (same old..), I was not the programmer and I made no guarantee how ar...

Re: Raycam and Rotary on U axis

BTW, I don't think you have to swiitcj the UM fromY to U. You only need to do one calibration for the U axis and stick with the same UM regardless what size of the cylinder object to be used. On the LCD there is a setting where you can just input the diameter of the object and get the rotary to work...

Re: Raycam and Rotary on U axis

I don't own the card manufacturer or the source code. I did mention it to him but if the programmer not corporate, there is not much I can do. If you don't want to use RayCam, you can switch back to LaserCad. I have mentioned numerous time but he didn't listen. What can I do, beat him? I did my best ...

Re: LaserCad not communicating

You can check the system info by using the LCD control. Click menu and scroll down to the last option. If see there is "LO" on hardware version, then you must run it with RayCam. Otherwise LaserCad Make sure you have two cable connection from the LCD control unit to the interface box;CN1 an...

Re: Wiring ULS Laser Source to T9 Controller

Yes, the first patch T9 is slow but a patch is ready to correct it.
Try this patch: viewtopic.php?f=55&t=3607

If you still want faster transfer, use Ethernet and it should be at least 2x faster

Re: Wiring ULS Laser Source to T9 Controller

Do me a favor, would you? Can you please leave us some feedback on CNCZone.com and/or SawMillcreek.org? And write a comment about the T9 on our website? smile We found that our company explosion to the public is very limited and not too many people know us well. By having your feedback, it will help...

Re: Wiring ULS Laser Source to T9 Controller

Great job!! The regular DSP controller can't handle fiber laser machine. You need one to be able to provide more feature for metal cutting like leading line, burst hole, oxygen and nitrogen air control,.......etc! I do have sources for fiber laser cutting controller and it is currently being used in...

Re: Wiring ULS Laser Source to T9 Controller

Why are you using LaserCad? Your controller is T9 and you should get the "LaserSoft" instead You may chose "Pre-ignition" for your RF. I am still buying to use the "TTL-" but not the TTL+ Marco Yea, my mistake. I saw you refer to a built-in um Calculator in LaserCad in...
