Dual Head on LOX7?

I was thinking about trying this, a much smaller second laser for engraving, since engraving with 100W pretty much mauls the surface. I have a really weak second laser that does wonderful engraving but the bed size is tiny. I'd like to use the large bed for this.

Anyone using LASER2 on their LOX7 ?

On my order form it just says "100W LPSU" so I have no way of knowing without digging around. I'll look for that trim pot next time I'm in there.

Laser Power Supply output tuning?

Currently using a 100w tube at 28ma. An issue I've been curious about is keeping that current nice and steady for tube life. but for whatever reason my power supply puts out 28 at about "44 power" so I have that set as max. The minimum where it arcs cleanly is 16 power. This actually leave...

Rotary Engraving?

About 6 months ago I bought an extra motor controller and the "pro" rotary engraver and wired everything up only to find that the firmware didn't support a third axis for rotary (U axis), it had to be X or Y which meant manually changing the engrave settings in shift-stop menu every time I...

Re: No files in memory!

Is there a maximum amount of files the 708 controller will hold maybe? One laser is up to around 200, the other about 120.

Re: Y Axis problem after : X7-160625L1.UG5

Both my X and Y values are the same (6.3ish) but only the Y value is acting strange. I guess I shouldnt say the value isnt saved, because its there every time I look. It just isnt used or something. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/42131434/VIDEO0573.mp4 Any ideas?? This is really killing me late...

Re: Y Axis problem after : X7-160625L1.UG5

Marco is there any way to wipe the thing entirely clean? Or some way that it could start saving my UM values again?? This is a big problem as I have to do this procedure every time someone turns the laser off or on.

Y Axis problem after : X7-160625L1.UG5

Marco, I updated the firmware on both of my LO-X7 lasers yesterday. One of them is fine, but the other has a settings problem with the Y axis. It no longer saves the data. I sent the video of it this morning to your support email, and someone replied saying it was "strange". I'll start a t...

Re: Any update on being able to use U-Axis for rotary engraving

Thanks for the update Marco! If there is any kind of list for people to notify for the new version, please add me. I already purchased the extra motor driver and have the U axis working with the Rotary! When I use the rotary with Y, the settings must be quite different. What velocity/accel values do...

Re: Any update on being able to use U-Axis for rotary engraving

Bump. I really need to know this. I bought an extra motor driver for U and got it all set up then realized the software won't let me use U for rotary.

Now what?? I guess I need to wait for this new version?

No files in memory!

I have two LO-X7 lasers and both of them have always had this same issue : not being able to see what documents/jobs are on them from within LaserCAD. Before sending a job, I remember a time long ago when I could hit "Refresh" and see what documents were on the laser, and more importantly,...

Re: "Continue to work after Powerout?" message

I have deleted all the jobs and formatted the memory thing (on the download screen on the pc side) more than once and still always get this message, I have for months.

Techgraphix wrote:It means there is an unfinished job in your memory.. When you delete that job, the message is gone too..

Re: Water Protect broken in LaserCad for LO-X7?

Can I ask what spots you hooked the two flow sensor wires to? WP on LASER1 and GND doesn't work for me. Am I supposed to use a different ground? I know the sensor itself works because I hear it clicking on and off with the pump. Really need to get this figured out soon, I thought I burned my tube ou...

Re: Water Protect broken in LaserCad for LO-X7?

So I have now messed around with the new menu quite a bit. I believe this only switches "open" and "closed" normal states. This does not enable the water protect feature on the board. It makes it so you can use normally open, or normally closed sensors correctly. No amount of tri...
