Re: Software Questions

It's been a while, so you likely have already solved this problem. AutoCAD usually works in imperial (unless you set it otherwise), while LaserCAD is exclusively millimeters. Convert all of your fonts to vectors using Express->Text->Explode. (I usually keep my raster fonts on a "text" laye...

Re: Anybody see a problem with this wiring change (DSP -> PSU)

It's been quite a while, so just wanted to bump this topic with a "I'm still anxiously awaiting this feature".

Thanks,

Re: Beam Combiner Lens Orientation (LED RED DOT))

The combiner I just got from you has a black dot at the edge on one side. Optimally, is that the "point of the arrow" side? [My previous combiner that I got from you had an arrow on the edge, which was very unambiguous. I'm guessing with the dot.]

Plumbing a chiller

What's the best/right way to plumb in a chiller? I see four obvious alternatives: 1) Two pumps in a sump, one for chiller, one through the laser 2) One pump in a sump, water through chiller, then through laser, back into the sump 3) One pump in a sump, water through laser, then through the chiller, ...

Re: First Order dissapointment

I will chime in to say that I've placed several orders with LightObject (including the DSP X7 upgrade), and have never had a single problem. My orders have always arrived in an amazingly short length of time.

For me personally, LightObject is my first-stop for laser upgrades.

Re: Water Protect broken in LaserCad for LO-X7?

I connected the pressure sensor from laser1.protect to laser1.gnd, and set laser->water protect to "open". I had previously attempted to enable "water protect" from lasercad, which upon read-back showed as still not set, but it's possible that doing this is a necessary step to en...

Re: Which Power supply for 45W C02 Laser Tube?

The "20-45W" PS delivers max 22mA The "40-65W" PS delivers max 25mA The 1M (45W) tube max current is 18mA, so the smaller supply provides plenty. The larger supply offers more at the high end which you can't use anyway, and per Marco is less stable on the low-current end, so it's...

Re: Which Power supply for 45W C02 Laser Tube?

I posed the same question to Marco. He said either would work but that the 20-40w had ample highend for 1M tube and would do better a low settings than the 45-60w one. I bought the 20w one.

Re: Water Protect broken in LaserCad for LO-X7?

Under Laser parameters, it shows Laser1..2...3...Water Protection Not sure why couldn't you locate it :?: Marco I'll look specifically for that when I get home tonight. Why I haven't seen it? Not sure until I look again tonight. Thank you, Marco. I appreciate the explicit description of what to loo...

Re: Water Protect broken in LaserCad for LO-X7?

I examined every single menu that I could find on the LO-X7 screen, but nothing about water protect. Is there a "hidden" sysyem config menu somewhere?

Water Protect broken in LaserCad for LO-X7?

I noticed that LaserCad for LO-X7 directly supports IO->Water Protect directly using Laser1.Protect input line, per manual explicitly displaying a "Water Protect" indication on the display if there is a problem. This indication on the display seemed like a good idea, so I moved my water pr...

Re: Larger tube for D40 or K40 (1000mm tube upgrade)

Marco, have you had a chance to do any further research on best way to lower the 55mm dia tube by 2.5mm?

I will definitely be placing my order for the 1M tube during your sale to proceed on this upgrade, so it's about time that I'll have to come up with a mounting solution.

Thanks,
Joe
