Re: Bought new PWM but it still wont fire

Laser is working now. My settings on the fire button on the dsp control panel was set to 5% which was fine on the previous 45watt power supply. I didn't think to change the setting since it worked with the old one. I now have to run DSP controller at 11% to get any sign of laser fire.

Re: Bought new PWM but it still wont fire

Lpsu fires manually. Could it be that my previous lpsu was the old style? I read where you posted the new 45watt lpsu wiring manuel which states that the wp doesnt need to be connected to geound if it is turned on in the dsp. Would having dsp cut off and grounding the wp cause it not to fire? Is the...

Did that too. I even disconnected and put a jumper in to make sure.

The loud pop was on the old power supply. New LPSU was installed today but laser still not firing. I have a new tube on the from you. Connections were solid no open circuit on new LPSU. Is there anything else I could check.

Bought new PWM but it still wont fire

I have been trying to figure out what is wrong after my fuse blew. When the fuse blew heard a loud pop. Replaced the fuse and no fire. Looked at the laser power supply and fuse had blown. Replace the fuse in the laser power supply and still no fire and the fan wasn't working so I just replaced my la...

Help - Air assist valve with DSP

Im looking to add an air valve for my air assist. I have a K40 with DSP upgrade.

Can the DSP control the air valve at the start of a job?

If it can how do I go about wiring it?

Thanks!

Re: Need some help

I'd hazard a guess that your problem with not being able to cut acrylic is an unfocused beam. A second option, if you've had no air-assist, might well be dirt on the lens and mirrors. Cutting plastics produces a lot of vapour which condenses wherever it can find a suitable spot: mirrors and lenses....

Re: Need some help

I don't use Moshidraw for long so I'm not sure if they have improved the performance. The version that I used to work with was terrible and gave us a lot of trouble so we dropped that, and many folks have issue with Moshi as well With DSP you can do everything you can do on Moshi but more. BTW, the...

Need some help

I bought my K40 2 weeks ago and I understood that with air assist you can cut 3mm acrylic. I can only get my laser to cut halfway through. Has anyone cut 3mm with Moshidraw on the K40?

Another question - If I were to upgrade to DSP could I cut small and intricate things like this?
