44C2 analog meter - needs initial calibration or bad?

So I bought the 0-30mA 44C2 analog meter because I wanted to measure my LPS at RMS instead of with my digital meter which of course just measures at intervals. Anyways, I am wiring it in series with my digital meter. When I power the LPS up, the 44C2 jumps up to 15mA - despite the digital meter stil...

Re: Can a JLD612 output a 0-5vdc control signal?

Solved -

After much research - and talking with lightobject - thank you. I decided to program a ARM to do the task - much simpler and cheaper.

Can a JLD612 output a 0-5vdc control signal?

Hello, I am interested in using a JLD612 (Low DC version) to control this pump's speed control: http://www.lightobject.com/Heavy-Duty-30Lm-475GPH-DC12V-High-Temperature-100-39C-Brushless-Water-Oil-pump-w-Speed-Control-P544.aspx?ItemId=1283289 The PID would need to output a 0-5vdc (from its SSR relay...

Re: I need a different thermocouple, which one? (SOLVED)

Turns out that I just need better heat dissipation. I am re-configuring the thermocouple so that it has better contact with the coolant.

I need a different thermocouple, which one?

Hello, I am setting up a JLD-7100 to interupt my water pump (WP) circuit on my laser power supply - in series with a flow switch. This way I have a fail safe for high temp and low flow. Problem is that I bought a "K-type" thermocouple and after testing it seems to generate a small amount o...

Re: Maximum Focal Length lens for XLE Air Assit nozzle?

Chuleo,

Thanks for the explanation and great model - looks really good.

Marco,

Thanks for looking into it. I am going to order a 63.5mm lens and drill out the nozzle if/as needed.
Do you have an extra XLE nozzle/focal tube assembly I can buy to make lens changes easier?

Thank you both,
Travis

Maximum Focal Length lens for XLE Air Assit nozzle?

Hello,

I am going to buy a longer focal length lens for my XLE stage and would like to confirm what the maximum focal length lens the air assist nozzle can accommodate before the beam hits the sides of the nozzle?

Thanks,
Travis

Re: XLE steppers locked up when powered?

Hey Marco,

They stay locked up even when a signal is sent from the BOB.

XLE steppers locked up when powered?

Hello, My 3 phase, 3 wire XLE steppers lock up when the system is powered up. I am running them with 3MD560 Drivers and an v5 BOB. The BOB appears to be functioning properly. See the attached BOB-Driver wiring diagram. It is my understanding that the 3 wire steppers can be wired in any combination t...

Wiring help for a 5 axis V8 High Speed BOB to 3MD560 Driver?

Hello,

The manuals for both the 3MD560 Driver that I purchased and the card (5 High speed BOB V8) do not seem to be in the manual archives. Does anyone know how to wire the BOB to the Drivers? - the labeling on the BOB is not very clear.

Thanks,
T

Wanted: linuxCNC GUI?

Hello, I am new to the forum. I am building a 60w laser for my leather working business and wondering if anyone has a linuxCNC laser GUI designed for a standard break out board that I can check out? The BOB: http://www.lightobject.com/High-Speed-5-Axis-Br...3-and-Kcam-P503.aspx I will mostly be cutt...
