Re: Real time tracking auto focus laser head

Hi Fernando: Good to hear from you again! Please see my reply below: - Does the item in your online store (LSR-RTAF70M) include the stepper motor, stepper driver and power supply? Ans: Motor (Yes), Driver(Yes), power supply (No, you need DC 24V 3A or 5A better) - Is this head a standalone unit?, do...

Re: Real time tracking auto focus laser head

Hi Marco,

Great!, I'm working as an advisor for a customer who is building an incredibly large laser cutter (around 20 feet long!), he will be purchasing from you, not me, I think it will work, I'll have him contact you when we're finished selecting the required components.

Re: Real time tracking auto focus laser head

Hi Marco I’m interested in purchasing one of your new “Real time tracking autofocus laser heads”, for a customer with a very large laser cutting machine, for which leveling of the cutting table would be too hard and expensive, I have a few questions though: - Does the item in your online store (LSR-...

To me it looks like backlash. check the thread that says cutting circles or something like that by Kev20009

Re: Laser Power Supply output tuning?

Currently using a 100w tube at 28ma. An issue I've been curious about is keeping that current nice and steady for tube life. but for whatever reason my power supply puts out 28 at about "44 power" so I have that set as max. The minimum where it arcs cleanly is 16 power. This actually leav...

Re: 60 watt EFR Tube with 60 watt LO LPSU, won't go above 12ma

Said very well! PPI will never get you full power because there is "off" duty cycle. The output from PPI is taking integration of the time occupied or simply speaking, taking an average value I think using higher power LPSU may do the trick but it could send the tube to the rest earlier I...

Re: cutting circle

Fernando just another one, my nema23 are 20tooth pulley 1to1 would is any better stepping down 2to1 20 tooth on motor 10 on belt, this is where I'm not sure what's the best way to run on lasers, if 1to1 is better than reduction for acuaracy and tuning, Thanks again kev If your motors are not compla...

Re: cutting circle

T profile belts are not really ideal for precision positioning, Try AT profile, the mesh between pulleys and the belt are better on them, AT5 should be fine for your machine, even AT2.5 maybe, look for the belts with steel cords, they don't stretch so no added compliance there. Glad I helped, Fernando

Re: 60 watt EFR Tube with 60 watt LO LPSU, won't go above 12ma

Why can I not use PPI and get the full power spectrum of my tube? Do I need to go elsewhere for a new power supply and support? Turning of PPI is not an acceptable answer if that is the only solution. I need to know the solution that allows me to use the PPI setting. Marco will probably correct me ...

Re: cutting circle

If it is backlash you can easily check by turning the machine on, and with the steppers locked in place try to push the X axis beam back and forth to see if it's loose, it should be super tight, if it does move, even a little, your problem is there and the best way to solve it is to fix the mechanic...

Element E5 outputs not working

Hello everyone, I recently purchased an Element E5 DSP, I just finished the machine build and it's working very well!, I just have one problem though, the outputs of the card don't seem to be working, I've been using the AWC608 and X7 controllers before and never had a problem with the outputs, but ...

Re: Unilaterism vs X-Swing > how can i improve results

Hello, i use the lo x7 for my buildlog laser and it works fine. Howewer - from the beginning i had problems with x-swing. Even at very slow speeds (100) i get some small offset. There is no play in the gantry (i checked everything twice) but the problem still exists. I bought better drivers and I t...

Re: Circles not round! (SOLVED)

Hi all, I have this problem also.... So how do I retune my steppers please? Thanks Ok, it´s the second time someone asks about this, you probably solved your issue already as some time has gone by, but just for the record, Stepper motors can´t be tuned! (well, some can but that kind of tuning is a ...
