Start etching from bottom and Etching Effieciently

HI I have 2 questions. 1) I am doing light etching of various pictures. I want the laser to start from the bottom of the pic and works its way up toward the top of the unit where the laser resides. Currently it starts at the top and works it way to the bottom of the unit. I'm sure there is a softwar...

Hi Not sure if this should be part of this thread or not so excuse me if its not supposed to be here. I have upgraded every part of my K60. Its working pretty well, the last thing I need to address is the smell and fumes. I have a 1 car garage, town home situation so I have neighbors who are pretty ...

Re: Samples from T9 DSP controller

I was etching on acrylic.

So here is a really dumb question... since I dont have the 65 w power supply and the standard which comes with the K40 which i think is a 35w. Do I still set it to 12% power?

Also, what resolution should the picture be?

Re: Samples from T9 DSP controller

ok, so I tried to get the yoda etched as shown above. 0.2mm dither .1 scan gap. 50% power , doesn't seem to matter if this is lower. I also tried inverting the image.(shift I). But this will make a negative of the image which is not what I want. See my attempt. I used the same image as the above. ht...

Re: Uneven Cutting

Thanks for that. I ended up printing out a holder for the lens, it was not centered. But looks like I may have another issue. But this is with the bed itself. 1) If I tighten all the nuts on the ztable which affix the metal plate to the threaded rods, then attempt to move the table, It will move a l...

Uneven Cutting

I upgraded my system to the T9 with Z table. I have realigned my mirrors so far so good. But, for whatever reason the lower left corner of my material which I am trying to cut is unable to cut through the material (acrylic). The rest of it cuts perfect, with one pass. But in this one area consistent...

Re: Lightobject new DSP laser controller card

I tried setting the UM with 12.5mm by 12.5 mm as you mentioned. Same result.

Here are all the pics of all settings.

Re: Lightobject new DSP laser controller card

A few things: 1) I opened the box, all looks good. 2) I made sure the connections to the t9 were secure. All looks good. 3) I found where to change the key direction. Those keys (down and Right ) are reacting. They are simply now moving the motor the wrong way. I flipped it back and its again back t...

Re: Lightobject new DSP laser controller card

is there anyway to flip the axis in sw to test the buttons out without opening the box?

Aside from this the more immediate issue is not being able to home the machine. ANy luck with that?

Re: Samples from T9 DSP controller

ok, well... that was it. Not so much being "lazy" as it is just expected it to accept it.

Tried again, but will only do a small portion of the image then stops with insufficient buffer distance.

What else should I do.

Ps- I am working on a product where I need to do exactly this.
